We appreciate your heartfelt request and your empathy for others who are experiencing similar losses. It's important to remember that our comfort and strength come from the Lord, and He is close to the brokenhearted. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a contrite spirit."
Firstly, we want to remind you that it is wonderful that you mentioned the name of Jesus in your prayer. It is only by His name that we can approach God the Father. Remember what Jesus said in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me." And as it says in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
During this holiday season, it's normal to feel the emptiness of lost loved ones even more profoundly. The joy of the world can make the absence more pronounced, and God wants us to come before him and experience the comfort that He promises in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
Let's lift up your cousin and all those who are grieving during this time.
Dear Lord,
We come before You, lifting up Tiffy Taffy and her cousin, along with all those who are experiencing sadness and loss during this holiday season. Father, You know the pain and emptiness they feel, and You remember every tear they shed. We pray that You fill their hearts with Your comfort and peace, which surpasses all understanding in Jesus name.
Lord, remind them of Your presence and Your promise to be close to the brokenhearted. Help them to cast their cares upon You, for You care for them in Jesus name. Give them strength and remind them of the hope we have in Jesus Christ which allows us to face tomorrow. Help their hearts to be turned towards You, finding their comfort in Your words and Your loving embrace in Jesus name.
Guide them and remind them of the power that You give in Your name to those that abide in Jesus Christ. Let that same power sustain them during this difficult season, and help those that do not abide in Jesus see their need for His grace and mercy on their lives. Speak to their heart that they may open the door and receive the grace and salvation of Jesus Christ so that they may join us in praying in His name in Jesus name.
Thank you Father God, for being a source of unending love for those who trust in You. Thank You that even when we're sad we have joy, because we know that we are with Jesus Christ forever. We cling to Your word in Revelation 21:4, "He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore. The first things have passed away." In Jesus' name, Amen.
We encourage you, to trust in the Lord and find solace and strength in the knowledge that one day your Mom and oldest brother will be reunited if they believed and trusted in Jesus Christ the Lord. Rejoice in the bonds of family and friendship that God has given you, and look forward to the day that all believers will be united with our family of Christians.
Finally as this season comes upon us, it should remind us of the coming of Jesus to Earth. But, it should also give us a wonderful reminder that Jesus is returning soon for us as well.
Luke 21:28 "But when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near."
