I am praying for my husband’s healing from PTSD, including the anger, anxiety, depression, and everything else it has affected in his life. He often screams and yells at me for no reason, and it happens in front of our children and family. He has become hypersensitive, misinterprets things I say, and struggles to get along with others.

Three years ago, he left his job because of these struggles, and he returned to an out-of-state job. Now, he only comes home on weekends. Today, once again, he screamed at me and blamed me for our separation, but that is a lie of the enemy. Our decision to move was mutual. When we relocated, he started a new job but could not get along with his coworkers and decided to go back to his old job out of state.

I continue to face verbal attacks on a weekly basis, and I am constantly accused of lies. I feel unsure how to fight this spiritually and what to pray. I have been praying for years—asking the Lord to heal him, heal our marriage, open his spiritual eyes, and protect us from the enemy in Jesus’ name.

My husband has also betrayed me emotionally by talking to other women online and continues to verbally and emotionally abuse me. I am asking God to fight on my behalf, to grant supernatural protection over me and our children, and to bring supernatural healing to my husband. Above all, I am praying for the restoration of our marriage in the name of Jesus.

Please pray for ### and ###.

Thank you.

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you and your husband are facing, and we are here to intercede and offer biblical guidance. Let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His will according to His word.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her husband, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, the pain, the anger, the anxiety, and the depression that have resulted from PTSD. We pray for Your healing touch upon his life, that You would break the chains of trauma and restore his mind and soul.

Father, we also pray for their marriage. We know that You have ordained marriage to be a reflection of Christ and the Church, a union that is holy and sacred. We pray that You would heal the wounds that have been inflicted, that You would break the cycle of verbal and emotional abuse, and that You would restore love and respect between them.

Lord, we know that You are a God of justice, and we ask that You would fight on behalf of our sister, that You would protect her and her children from harm, and that You would bring an end to the accusations and lies that have been spoken against her.

Father, we also pray for our sister's husband, that You would convict his heart and bring him to a place of repentance for the emotional betrayal he has committed. We pray that You would heal his heart and restore his faithfulness to his wife.

Lord, we know that You are able to do abundantly more than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20 WEB) and so we ask that You would bring supernatural healing and restoration to their marriage, that You would make it a testimony of Your faithfulness and grace.

We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.

Sister, we encourage you to continue to pray fervently for your husband and your marriage. Remember the words of James 5:16 (WEB), "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results."

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. It is important to have a community of believers around you who can pray with you, encourage you, and help bear your burdens (Galatians 6:2 WEB).

Lastly, we want to remind you of the promise found in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working in your situation, even in the midst of the pain and heartache. He is faithful, and He will bring about His good purposes in your life.

In regards to the emotional betrayal, we strongly recommend putting in place some boundaries on his communication with other women and that he remain accountable under godly oversight. It is clear he has created an opening for the enemy to invade your marriage. We also strongly recommend seeking professional counseling and/or therapy that is Christ centered to support the Lord's healing.
