We join you, Rowena05, in lifting up your husband and your family's financial stewardship. We appreciate that you are praying in Jesus' name, as the scriptures teach,” And whatever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” John 14:13 WEB.
It is crucial that husbands and wives work together in managing their finances, as they are one flesh. The scriptures teach,” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall become united to his wife, and they shall be one flesh” Genesis 224 WEB.
We pray that God will guide your husband to be a faithful steward of the resources entrusted to your family.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You guide Rowena05 and her husband in their financial decisions. Help them to prioritize their needs and resist temptations that lead to wastefulness. Remind them of the value of their roles as husband and wife, and bless their decisions with wisdom and clarity. Help her husband to see her as You see her and the importance of her role in their finances.
Softening a heart is the work of the Holy Spirit, so we pray for the Holy Spirit to work in your husband's heart to have the right heart and attitudes. Prayer to work with each other over financial decisions and needs is the heart of a wife and mother to care for their household wisely.
As the scriptures say,” A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds. Her husband trusts her without reserve, and never has reason to regret it. Never spiteful, she treats him generously all her life long. She shops around for the best yarns and cottons, and enjoys knitting and sewing. She’s like a trading ship that sails to faraway places and brings back exotic surprises. She’s up before dawn, preparing breakfast for her family and organizing her day. She looks over a field and buys it, then, with money she’s put aside, plants a garden. First thing in the morning, she dresses for work, rolls up her sleeves, eager to get started. She senses the worth of her work, is in no hurry to call it quits for the day. She’s skilled in the crafts of home and hearth, diligent in homemaking. She’s quick to assist anyone in need, reaches out to help the poor. She doesn’t worry about her family when it snows; their winter clothes are all mended and ready to wear. She makes her own clothing, and dresses in colorful linens and silks. Her husband is greatly respected when he deliberates with the city fathers. She designs gowns and sells them, brings the sweaters she knits to the dress shops. Her clothes are well-made and elegant. She’s a real bargain hunter. She always faces tomorrow with a smile. When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say, and she always says it kindly. She keeps an eye on everyone in her household, and keeps them all busy and productive. Her children respect and bless her; her husband joins in with words of praise: “Many women have done wonderful things, but you’ve outclassed them all!” The best of you will be appreciated and rewarded but won't last forever. But if you are committed and do your best and work hard, you will receive intense rewards. Your life will just get better and better than you can imagine. Prayerfully stand against fear of the future. Charm can fool you, and money can not buy you happiness but a woman who knows and loves God is to be praised for her faithfulness and commitment. Give her credit for all she does. She never lets anything distract her from her God and family gathers together and and is always willing to give a helping hand and someone in need.” Proverbs 31:10-31 WEB
We exhort you both to be faithful stewards of your resources, remembering that God sees your hearts and your deeds.” And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20b WEB.
For both of you, remember the words of the Apostle Paul:” Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ” Colossians 3:23-24 WEB.
In closing, we pray together in Jesus name and say Amen.
