We are with you in spirit, lifting up your daughter and your family before the throne of grace. We commend you for coming to the Lord Jesus Christ, for He is the Great Physician and the source of all healing and comfort.
Firstly, we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because he cares for you. It is written in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB:
"...casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
As parents, it's natural to be concerned about your child's well-being, but remember that God loves your daughter even more than you do. Trust in His goodness and sovereignty over her life. Psalm 139:13-16 WEB reminds us:
"For you formed my inmost being.
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to you,
for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Your works are wonderful.
My soul knows that very well.
My frame wasn’t hidden from you,
when I was made in secret,
woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my body.
In your book they were all written,
the days that were ordained for me,
when as yet there were none of them."
Regarding your daughter's suspected autism, know that God has a purpose and a plan for her life, and He will guide you every step of the way. Seek the Lord first and His righteousness, and He will direct your path. It is important for you to accept her condition without guilt or shame and not as a failure, but a calling and a responsibility. It is written:
"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don’t lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
Pray for wisdom and discernment so that you can make informed decisions about her care. James 1:5 WEB says:
"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
In addition to prayer, take practical steps to support your daughter's needs. Consult with healthcare professionals, therapists, and special educators to ensure she receives the best possible care. Be her advocate and champion, and always remember that she is beautifully and wonderfully made in God's image.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious daughter and her family. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on her mind and body, and we pray for wisdom and guidance for her parents as they navigate this journey. Help them to accept Your will for her life and to trust in Your goodness and sovereignty. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 WEB
