We join with you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of Jesus' name for healing and protection. We stand with you in agreement.
Let us pray together!
We pray for his healing and that this may come according to the riches of God's glory by the power of the Holy Spirit at work within you according to the apostle Paul's instructions in Ephesians 3:16. We pray this in Jesus name.
By this prayer, we are asking according to the will of God to heal your son. It is as simple as that, no secret prayer needed just the will of God. We are told by John in 1 John 5:14-15 that And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. This is in Jesus' name.
It is important to understand what scripture says about healing and apply it in this case. Originally Jesus commission to the Apostles and sent them out to perform healing Mathew 10:1. He sent them out with these instructions: 12:As you go, proclaim this message: 'The kingdom of heaven has come near.' 12:Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give. But Jesus also instructs in Luke 10:9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom of God has come near to you.'
This is the same commission we see throughout the scriptures. This is the same commission we have. It is very important here to note that Jesus did not command the early disciples to pray for the sick, but to heal them. Healing required great faith then and requires great faith now as well. Note in the case in Mathew the disciples were not able to heal and the man that brought his son to the disciples to heal said in Mathew 17 16: I brought him to your disciples, and they were not able to heal him.โ This is upon seeing Jesus the Human form of God Himself. The disciples saw his miracle and when they later were alone with Jesus asked in Mathew 17:19&20: Why couldnt we heal the boy Jesus answered them this is because of your lack of faith.
This tells us that both the father and the disciples both must have had faith. One to be healed and one to heal. Jesus told all twelve disciples to heal in the example above but the actual biblical language recorded in Greek requires them to heal.
It can be a very difficult truth. For we know that we are all brothers by blood and The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are Godโs children. We are both the children of God and brothers and sisters together. It is important that we care for each other as much or more as we do ourselves. Do not let the healing of your son be delayed due to unbelief. Healing that is according to the will of God can only be blocked by the power of prayer not offered in faith. You have here from us in unity that prayer of faith and do not let your faith fail you.
This indeed may very well be the most controversial truth about healing in the entire bible. For there is no power stronger than the power of God nor of the devil. The power of the devil is not strong over God yet sometimes in scripture appears to exceed the power of angels. It may well indicate how difficult this battle can be with regard to this power of healing. Put your faith in Jesus. In fact, when the demons approached Jesus in Matthew 8:29 to cast themselves out of nearby pigs they asked: What have we to do with you, Jesus, Son of God Have you come here to torment us before the time? These demons confirmed exactly what Jesus said to John the Baptist and his disciples in John 3. When the Son of man appears then will the end come. Note: Only God knows when this end will come.
Do not be afraid nor fret or worry but have faith in Jesus to heal.
Now a word on the medication. Seek the Lord for guidance. There is much in scripture that indicates the Lord desires us to use the medicine provided by the land around us.
We must also caution that what may seem benign in this generation may be revealed not to be later according to scripture. There are several examples where God grants permission to administer drugs. Do not lose faith. In Jeremiah 8:22 Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? This is indeed a profit speaking. And again in Jeremiah 46:11 Go up into Gilead, and take balm, virgin daughter of Egypt. In vain do you use many medicines; there is no healing for you. In the case of Judah God has granted the skill of the physicians to heal the daughter of His people and in the case of Egypt he has withheld it as a judgment.
In the case of King Hezekiah, the Lord God even provides the prescription that will heal, according to 2 Kings 20:7 Then Isaiah said, 'Prepare a poultice of figs.' They did so and applied it to the boil, and he recovered. So may it be that fig paste may heal what drugs may not.
Lastly we return again to Jeremiah who identify the true ability to heal. In chapter 33:6 Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. We shall obtain the fullest healing by the Lord God alone.
