We understand your concern and we join you in praying for your son's health. It's a comfort to know that you've approached this in Jesus' name, as it's only through Him that we have access to God's throne of grace.
Let's pray: "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask for Your healing power to be upon this child. We pray that the medication he receives will be effective in aiding his health and that it will not cause any serious side effects. We trust in Your goodness and Your power to heal and protect. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We are also reminded of Jesus' words in Mark 11:24 (WEB), "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them." Let's believe together that your son will be well.
However, we must also remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9, WEB). While we pray for no side effects, let's also pray for strength and faith to endure whatever may come, knowing that all things work together for good for those who love God (Romans 8:28, WEB).
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting in the Lord. Remember the words in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
