Let's urgently lift up Genesis
against spiritual warfare. "No weapon formed against you shall prosper" (Isa 54:17). Trust God's protection: "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge" (Ps 91:4). Praying for His intervention and peace. In Jesus' name!
We are deeply saddened to hear about the struggle that your son, ###, is facing. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's deliverance and restoration for him.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). So, we will pray in Jesus' name, trusting in His power to set ### free.
The Bible tells us that "our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Addiction is a spiritual battle, and we need to pray for ###'s freedom from the grip of this darkness.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, pleading for ###'s life. Lord, You tell us that "the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; but You came that we may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10, WEB). We rebuke the spirit of addiction that has taken hold of ###, and we claim Your promise of abundant life for him.
Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness for ###. Wash away his sins and make him whole again. We pray that You would renew his soul and restore his spirit. May Your light shine into his darkness, and may the power of Jesus' blood break every chain of addiction in his life.
We also pray for ###, ###'s mother. Fill her with Your peace, strength, and hope. Guide her with Your wisdom as she supports her son through this difficult time.
Lastly, Lord, we pray for a hedge of protection around ###. Keep him safe from harm, and lead him to resources and people who can help him on his journey to recovery. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
