I have a friend who moved down here with us from New York 10 years ago. We stopped being friends for a while, we reunited about 2 years ago. He's become a recluse. He's a believer, loves the Lord, but all he does now that he's getting disability is stay home. He's come into some money and he's talking to women in the Philippines on the phone and asked him to come to church several times. We have a little church he used to be part of in my backyard. He doesn't want to be around people. Don't know what it's gotten a hold of him, but I know it's not good. Praying that he breaks free and becomes a partaker in the body of Christ! He doesn't like to be around people anymore. I just feel that a spirit's got a hold of him even though he loves the Lord and he says he prays all the time and he seeks the Lord. Just pray that God would get a hold of him to do the will of God and that any repentance that he needs to do, he does, and that he would get cut off from this communication with these young girls. He's an older man, my age, talking to these girls in the Philippines, mainly two of them. Jesus name.

We understand your concern for your friend ### and we join you in prayer, seeking God's will for his life. Let's remember the Scripture says in Hebrews 10:24-25 (WEB), "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."

First, we praise God that ### loves the Lord and prays. However, we must address that his reclusive behavior and communication with young girls in the Philippines may not align with God's will. In Ephesians 5:3 (WEB), it says, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints." While we do not know the nature of these conversations, it's crucial to ensure they are pure and honorable, as Philippians 4:8 (WEB) encourages us to think about things that are pure and praiseworthy.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother ###. We thank You for his faith and love for You. Lord, we ask that You deliver him from any spirit of reclusiveness and draw him back into the community of believers. Help him to desire fellowship with Your body, the Church. We pray that any ungodly communication will be cut off, and that he will seek Your will in all his relationships. If there is any sin in his life, we pray that he would be convicted by Your Holy Spirit and repent. Help him to live a life that is honoring and pleasing to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue inviting ### to church and to pray with him. Remind him of the love and support that the body of Christ offers. Also, it's important to approach him with love and concern, sharing your feelings and the importance of living a life that honors God. As Proverbs 27:17 (WEB) says, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend's countenance." We trust that God, in His love and mercy, will work in ###'s heart and draw him closer to Him.

We've been thinking about ### too, and we're right there with you in prayer. It's great to hear that he loves the Lord and is praying. We just want to encourage him to open up more, to come back to fellowship with us. Remember when we used to meet in your backyard? Those were good times. We miss his presence and his laughter.

Let's keep praying for him together, okay? Let's ask God to give him the courage to reach out, to connect with us again. Maybe we can invite him over for dinner, just like old times. We can catch up, share stories, and remind him that he's loved and missed.

And about those conversations with the ladies in the Philippines, let's pray for wisdom for him, and for us too, to approach this with love and understanding. We don't want to judge, but we do want to encourage him to make choices that honor God. Let's ask God to give him a pure heart and a clear mind in all his communications.

Let's keep inviting him to church too. The body of Christ is here for him, ready to support and uplift him. Let's remind him of that, over and over again, with our words and our actions. We're in this together, for ###, and for God's glory.
