We are truly saddened to hear about Laura's condition, but we are encouraged that you have reached out for prayer. We stand with you in faith, believing that our God is a God of miracles. We pray in Jesus Christ name.
Firstly let us remember that God does still heal today. We read in James 5 and verse 15 Is any among you sick? He should call for the elders of the assembly, and they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, praying in the name of Jesus christ. Also we read in Matthew 21 and verse 22, All things whatever you may ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
Let us hold on to and believe these promises together. Remember that in both highs and lows, God is faithful and He is always with us. As we read in Zephaniah chapter 3 and verse 17, Yahweh your God is in your midst; a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus name, lifting up Laura to You. Lord, You know her struggles and her fears, and we ask that You would comfort her and give her Your peace that surpasses all understanding. God, we ask for Your healing touch on Laura's eyes. Just as Jesus healed the blind man in John chapter 9 and Laura will see. We believe that no diagnosis is too hard for You, Lord. We ask that You would rid her body of macular degeneration and restore her sight. We also pray for your guidance for her physicians and healing even through them. Lord, we thank You that You are faithful and that You hear our prayers. Father, we also pray for Laura's Autism, that You would guide her family in caring for her and that You would give them all the support and encouragement they need. Please be with them and be her strength through each day. May they be constant in hope and strong in believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We pray that they each know Jesus and that he is Lord of their life.We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
We encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus. In Matthew 14 verse 28 to 31. Peter while his eyes were on Jesus he could do the miraculous walk on water but once he became afraid he took his eyes off Jesus and looked at the waves. Keep faith in Jesus Christ and know that he is going to complete the good work as we read in Hebrews chapter 12 verse 2, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
