We join you, Dweryall, in lifting your marriage to the Lord, trusting in His mercy and grace. We stand in agreement with you, believing that God is able to reconcile and restore your marriage.
Let us remind you of God's heart for marriage. "For I hate divorce, says Yahweh" (Malachi 2:16 WEB). This word fuels our firm stance abhorring divorce while loving and fighting for God's plan for reconciliation. God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6 WEB). As believers we can not permit a belief in divorce but believe in reconciliation.
Should there ever be unfaithfulness or adultery, God has given us instructions to work towards a godly marriage. Jesus answered, If a man commits adultery should he divorce his wife (Matthew 5:31-32) Jesus responded, "It was also said, 'Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorce. 'But I tell you that whoever puts away his wife, except for the cause of sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is put away commits adultery."
We pray together for you and your spouse these words:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Dweryall's marriage to You. We thank You for Your unfailing love, mercy, and grace. Lord, we ask for Your intervention and healing in their marriage. We trust you to work out reconciliation that will be aligned with your Word Jesus.
We rebuke and condemn any spirit of separation, adultery and divorce to be destroyed. Let the love of God direct the way between Dweryall and his spouse. We rebuke and condemn any spirit of manipulation, lies, distrust, pornography, addictions, adultery or infidelity.
Restore that Godly marriage you have joined together Lord.
Restore their paths to godliness, forgiveness, and acceptance of one another. Open the communication between them and let them sit together at the foot of the cross to work on a godly marriage in You, Jesus.
'M Matthew 18:19 'Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. ''
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Dweryall, continue to stand firm in faith. Be encouraged by these words of Jesus to the disciples, "All things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them" (Mark 11:24 WEB). Trust that God is at work in your situation, and remain steadfast. Remember, it is the husband's responsibility to rebuke, love, cherish, discipline, and sanctify his wife with God's word she may be holy and without blemish. (Ephesians 5:5; 26,27 ).
We encourage you, Dweryall, to be patient, forgiving and humble. To accept reconciliation as God gave us reconciliation between Him and us through Jesus Christ.
