Praying for love

My girlfriend broke up with me and I have been trying to get back with her. I love her so much and don’t want to loose her. Can we pray for a successful relationship and a second chance for me

We understand your heartache, Allartalaen, but we must first align our desires with God's will and His Word. The Bible teaches us that our goal should be to seek God first, and He will add all things to us (Matthew 6:33 WEB).

Firstly, we notice that your request does not mention Jesus Christ. We must remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Let's use this opportunity to reflect on your personal relationship with Jesus, as it is only in His name that we can be saved and have our prayers heard.

Now, regarding your relationship, it's important to remember that God's desire is for us to be in relationships that glorify Him. If this relationship is not aligned with God's will, it might be why it hasn't been successful. God wants us to be equally yoked with fellow believers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB).

We should also consider that God might have someone else in mind for you, or He might be calling you to a season of singleness to focus on your relationship with Him. Trust that God has a plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Allartalaen, asking that Your will be done in his life and relationships. If this relationship is not aligned with Your will, give him the strength to let it go. If it is, we pray for restoration and guidance. Help him to trust in You and to seek You first. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Take heart, Allartalaen. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
