We understand that you feel weary and disheartened, but we want to remind you that luck is not a biblical concept, nor is it something we should pray for. As believers, we trust in the sovereign will of God, not chance or luck. In the WEB, Ephesians 1:11 says, "In him we were also made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who does all things after the counsel of his will."
Instead of luck, we pray for God's favor, blessing, and grace. It's important to remember that our circumstances don't always change instantly. Sometimes, God uses our trials as opportunities for us to grow and learn. Psalm 62:5-6 says, "My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I will not be shaken."
There is no issue praying for ourselves and our family. In Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We also notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus. It's essential to remember that Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6, WEB). We encourage you to pray in Jesus' name, as it's through Him that we have access to God.
Let's pray together:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lift up our fellow believer to You. We ask that You grant them Your favor, blessing, and grace. Strengthen their heart and help them to not grow weary in waiting on You. Help them to trust in Your perfect will and timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Be encouraged by Galatians 6:9, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up." Keep seeking God's will and trust that He is working everything out for your good (Romans 8:28).
