Who do you want to pray for first?
Mewulan, we understand your desire for reconciliation and communication with him this Christmas, and we want a resolution that aligns with God's will. Firstly, let us discuss a scripture that applies to your life. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14.6 WEB. This is important because God will not honor a request if Jesus is not intercessor and Savior first. To see the will of God, you should have a relationship with God first. To have a relationship with God, you must believe in Jesus Christ, His death paying for sin, and His resurrection and submit to Him as Lord and Savior. I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture John 10.9 WEB. You should also seek to marry someone who believes and who submits to Jesus as their Lord and Savior. This is because marriage to a Christian is not a forbidden relationship.
When it does come to the man you are seeking to marry, do not leave out your personal responsibility. Is there something you need to change about your behavior towards him. 1 Peter 3:1 says, ‘In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any do not obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word’. We admonish you to consider the same principle even in seeking this man for a potential spouse. Have you considered a way that you may be more pleasing in behavior?
We pray that you examine your heart for any areas that may not be pleasing to God. Perhaps he has gotten the impression that you may not live up to the biblical standard of holiness and commitment to Jesus. We encourage you to pursue holiness and God's standards in all your interactions. Walk in love and purity like Christ. Colossians 3:1-24 WEB speaks of this holiness.
Acknowledging sexual sin is essential. For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who do not know God 1 Thessalonians 4.3-5 WEB. Our bodies were sanctified for the Lord and are not meant for premarital sex, but for our husbands and our husbands only.
We must emphasize that should you marry, and this includes anyone else you may consider, it should honor God. We also ask that you wait patiently upon the Lord. We pray for God's will concerning his coming home and the manner of it happening and that you wait patiently for him and his timing. Consider the following verses Luke 11.9 WEB "I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you." and Deuteronomy 11.13 WEB "It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to my commandments which I command you today, to love Yahweh your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul". We pray that the Lord protects and strengthens your relationship with the man He intends for you while you wait.
On the final matter, to ensure that your prayer aligns with God's will we encourage a prayer based on the example in John 15.7 WEB "If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you."
We pray together: Dear Lord Jesus, we ask that ### and the man she seeks for a spouse be drawn close to You and recognize Your love and their need to submit to and serve You. They should seek Your holiness by confessing and repenting of sexual sin. If in Your will, they would be reconciled to the man or woman You intend and have them married as You intend. That ### would grow as an Esther and win the man and woman You intend by her faith and character. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
