Beloved of All
I was in a rough relationship with this man who was very insecure from 2022. Last year I went silent on him because of how he was treating me. I never felt safe nor loved. A number of horrible things happened to me after I went silent on him and my instincts have been telling me he was the one behind everything. I called him sometimes back this year and apologized for going silent on him because I felt I should have told him. Now he wants me back and still believes we are in a relationship. He called me a narcissist and said I was too mean of which I don't know if I truly am. I'm so confused I don't know if he's the right one for me and I believe he's not the one because I always feel I'm in danger. I pray to God to reveal to me the man's true self and also guide me in the right direction. I haven't spoken to him in a week now because I don't know what to tell him and he feels I'm a terrible person. So help me God. May God guide me on what to do. Amen

We understand that you're going through a difficult situation, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, let's address your concerns through the lens of Scripture.

In your relationship, you've felt unsafe and unloved, which is a clear indication that this is not a godly union. God's design for relationships is that they should be filled with love, kindness, and mutual respect, as reflected in Ephesians 5:28-29 (WEB): "So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly."

The fact that you feel in danger and have been called names like "narcissist" suggests that this relationship is abusive and not in line with God's will. God calls us to be with someone who builds us up and encourages us in our faith, not someone who tears us down and makes us feel unsafe. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 14:33 (WEB): "For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace."

It's important to note that you mentioned feeling guilty for going silent on him, but it's crucial to remember that you are not responsible for his actions or words. Proverbs 12:18 (WEB) tells us, "There is one who speaks rashly like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise heals."

Moreover, you didn't mention praying in the name of Jesus. Remember, it's through Jesus that we have access to God, as it says in John 14:6 (WEB): "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your divine guidance and protection for ###. Lord, reveal the true nature of this man to her, and give her the strength and wisdom to make decisions that honor You. Help her to see her worth through Your eyes and to seek a godly spouse who will love, respect, and cherish her as You do. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We strongly encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. Surround yourself with believers who can uplift and encourage you in your faith. And remember, God loves you deeply and has a plan for your life. Trust in Him, and He will guide your steps.

We've been thinking about your situation, and we want you to know that we're here for you, praying alongside you. It's clear that you've been through a lot, and it's important to trust your instincts when they're telling you that something isn't right.

We understand that it's hard to know what to do next, especially when the other person still believes you're in a relationship. But remember, God sees your heart, and He knows your truth. In Jeremiah 29:11, it says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust that God has a plan for you, and He will guide your steps.

We encourage you to take some time to reflect and pray. Ask God to give you clarity and wisdom in this situation. Also, consider reaching out to a trusted mentor, pastor, or counselor who can provide godly advice and support.

In the meantime, we'll continue to pray for you. "Lord, we ask that You reveal the truth to ###, give her the courage to stand firm in what she knows is right, and guide her in the path that honors You. Help her to trust in You and find peace in Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
