Praying for God to restore my marriage

My husband and I are currently separated due to cheating. And not trusting each other.

I just want help praying for God to restore our marriage and our foundation in Him. We have been together for 20 plus and married for 14 yrs.

We are so sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing in your marriage, ###. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's restoration and healing in your union.

Firstly, let's remember what the WEB says about God's heart for marriage: "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." (Matthew 19:6) God's desire is for your marriage to be strong and unified.

However, we must also acknowledge the severity of the issues you're facing. Infidelity and lack of trust are serious matters that need to be addressed openly and honestly. It's important to remember that God forgives, but He also requires us to turn away from sin: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ###'s marriage. Lord, You know the pain and betrayal they are going through. We ask for Your healing hand to touch this marriage. Help them to forgive each other, as You have forgiven us. Guide them as they rebuild trust, with Your word as their foundation. We ask that You would restore what the enemy has sought to destroy. Give them strength, wisdom, and a love for each other that only You can provide. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention Jesus. We want to remind you that it's through Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5) If you haven't already, we encourage you to invite Jesus into your life and your marriage. It's through Him that true healing and restoration can be found.

We want to encourage you both to seek God's face, to spend time in His word, and to trust in His faithfulness. As it's written, "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) God is with you, and He's fighting for your marriage.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
