We are here with you in spirit, Anthroparairia, lifting up your son in prayer as he seeks an internship during his master's program in international relations. Firstly, we want to remind you both of the power of prayer and the importance of trusting in God's plan for your son's life. We read in the book of Joshua: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; this is a response to a situation where one might feel inadequate or ill equipped. Again we read in Isaiah 41:10 "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Lastly we read in Philippians 4:6,
"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
While it is important to acknowledge and validate your son's feelings of stress and frustration, we must also encourage him to put his trust in God. It is not by our own connections or background that we find success, but by the power of God working in our lives. Our advice to your son would be to persevere and acknowledge God in all his ways. Keep reminding him of Proverbs 3:5-6,
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
We pray that God will open the right doors for your son at the right time. We pray that your son will trust God’s plan. In Jesus' name, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or hopelessness that may be attempting to control your son's mind.
