Praying for Discernment

God, please help me to realize my discernment in this storm. I pray that God shows me if I should stop praying to save my marriage from divorce. I pray daily all day for my marriage. My heart hurt so bad. If my husband care he does not show it, he want even talk to me. I will continue to pray that God will soften my husband heart. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

Firstly, let us remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:6 (WEB), "So they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart." God's heart is for marriage, and He desires that your union be strengthened and restored.

We understand your pain and the heaviness in your heart. Psalm 34:18 (WEB) tells us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Be assured that God is close to you in this time of heartache.

However, we must also acknowledge that God desires obedience and repentance from both parties in a marriage. In 1 Peter 3:1-2 (WEB), wives are encouraged, "In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear." This does not mean you should tolerate abuse or unkindness, but rather, it encourages you to exemplify Christ's love and patience.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister ###. Lord, she is in immense pain, and her heart is heavy. We ask that You comfort her and grant her the discernment she seeks. Lord, if it is Your will, soften her husband's heart and bring restoration to their marriage. Help him to see the value of their union and to cherish ### as You intended.

But Lord, if this marriage is not in line with Your will, grant ### the strength and wisdom to accept and move forward in Your path. Help her to understand that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts.

In the meantime, Lord, continue to mold ### into the likeness of Christ. Help her to exemplify Your love, patience, and kindness, even in the face of adversity.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
