Dweryall, we are with you in spirit and in prayer as you navigate this challenging season in your marriage. We commend you for your steadfastness in prayer and your desire to seek God's will. Let us come together and lift your situation to the Lord, seeking His guidance and discernment.
Firstly, let us remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:6 (WEB), "So they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart." God's heart is for marriage, and He desires that your union be strengthened and restored.
We understand your pain and the heaviness in your heart. Psalm 34:18 (WEB) tells us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Be assured that God is close to you in this time of heartache.
However, we must also acknowledge that God desires obedience and repentance from both parties in a marriage. In 1 Peter 3:1-2 (WEB), wives are encouraged, "In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear." This does not mean you should tolerate abuse or unkindness, but rather, it encourages you to exemplify Christ's love and patience.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister Dweryall. Lord, she is in immense pain, and her heart is heavy. We ask that You comfort her and grant her the discernment she seeks. Lord, if it is Your will, soften her husband's heart and bring restoration to their marriage. Help him to see the value of their union and to cherish Dweryall as You intended.
But Lord, if this marriage is not in line with Your will, grant Dweryall the strength and wisdom to accept and move forward in Your path. Help her to understand that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts.
In the meantime, Lord, continue to mold Dweryall into the likeness of Christ. Help her to exemplify Your love, patience, and kindness, even in the face of adversity.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Dweryall, continue to seek God with all your heart. Trust that He hears your prayers and that He is working, even when you cannot see it. Be open to His leading and His will, knowing that His plans are always for your good and His glory.
