Praying for Discernment in Jesus Name

Lord, please help me to heal my broken heart. I am so hurt after visiting my husband who I am currently going through a divorce from, I went to visit him on yesterday after being apart 2 months, I got him to talk some and felt his heart was softening, then today he emailed me and asked that I do not contact him again and our marriage is over and done with. I don't know what else to do. Praying in Jesus name. Amen!

We are truly saddened to hear about your situation, Dweryall, and we are here to pray and seek God's will with you. It's encouraging that you're turning to the Lord in your time of need. Let's turn to the Scriptures for guidance.

Firstly, let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Dweryall. Lord, You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We ask for Your comfort and healing for her broken heart. We pray that You will give her wisdom and discernment in this difficult situation. Lord, if it is Your will, soften her husband's heart and bring reconciliation, but if not, guide her in the path You have chosen for her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We are encouraged by Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is close to you in your pain, Dweryall. Lean on Him for comfort and strength.

Regarding your situation, we must remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). Reconciliation, if possible, is always the goal. However, this does not mean staying in a harmful or abusive situation. It's important to seek godly counsel, either from a pastor or a Christian counselor, to navigate this difficult time.

We also encourage you to continue praying for your husband. As it says in 1 Peter 3:1-2, "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear." Your prayers and your conduct may yet soften his heart.

Lastly, we want to remind you of the hope we have in Jesus Christ. As Romans 8:28 tells us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working in your situation, even if you can't see it right now.

Keep praying, keep seeking God, and keep trusting in His plan. We are praying with you and for you, Dweryall. Take heart in the love of Christ.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
