Disciple of Prayer
Heavenly Father,
In the name of Jesus, I thank you so much for Cody and I lift him and our relationship up to you today. Thank you that although he still has not come home, you have given me so many signs that you are answering my prayers. Thank you that in the midst of all the anxiety, fear, sadness and distress, you give me peace and constant reassurance. I know that your answer to my prayers for Cody and our relationship isn't "No," it's "Wait." I know you are doing something, and I thank you for drawing yourself closer to me the more I pray and draw myself closer to you. Thank you that I can hear the gentle whisper of your voice. Thank you for teaching me patience, and reminding me not to give up, for "Love is patient. It does not demand its own way. It keeps no record of being wronged. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance." (1 Corinthians 4-5, 7) Thank you for helping me to love Cody like Jesus does.
I pray that you will finish the work you started in Cody and create a new spirit within him. I know that Cody is suffering with shame and self-hatred at this time, and I ask that you give him your grace, peace and love, as you have for me, in Jesus' name. Draw yourself near to him. I know Cody is just like Thomas, and struggles to believe in the unseen. I know Cody wants to believe, and I know he believes in "something bigger than him," but he depends on having a personal experience with You in order to feel certain. Thomas said, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hands into his side, I will not believe" (John 20:25). I pray that as Jesus revealed Himself to Thomas, you will reveal yourself to Cody. Tell him about the plans you have for him; they are plans for good and not for disaster. To give him a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
You said, "I myself will search and find my sheep. I myself will tend my sheep and give them a place to lie down in peace. I will search for my lost ones who strayed away, and I will bring them home safely again." (Ezekiel 34:11, 15) I pray that you will make a way home for him and I thank you in advance, for this prayer is already answered. You will fence him in with thornbushes and block his wrong pathways with walls. (Hosea 2:6)
Lord, I know you have special plans with Cody and I surrender him to You to transform him into the man of God you want him to be. I surrender our relationship to You to transform it into a marriage that glorifies You. I know this is Your plan and I am so grateful for the blessings that are coming. Although the enemy's plans are to steal, kill and destroy, Your purpose is for us to live a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10).
I pray that you will continue to lead Cody away from temptation and deliver him from evil. Cover his spirit in the blood of Christ and flush out all that is not of You. I pray that you keep your hand on him and guide him off the pathway to death and onto the pathway to life.
Lord, You have given me authority "over all the power of the enemy" (Luke 10:19). By that authority given to me in Christ Jesus, I evict all unclean, evil and demonic spirits from Cody's body. I evict all lying spirits from Cody's mind. I proclaim that God has given Cody a sound and sober mind. He will no longer entertain confusion, but live in clarity. He will not be tormented with impure, evil, negative or sinful thoughts.
I proclaim that God has removed Cody's stony, stubborn heart and given him a tender, responsive heart. I proclaim that God has given Cody a new spirit, the Holy Spirit. (Ezekiel 36:26-27)
And lastly, I proclaim that Cody is shielded with the full armor of God: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. (Ephesians 6:13-17)
In the Mighty Name of Jesus,
Amen

Fallyn37, we join you in prayer for Cody and your relationship, aligning our hearts with God's will and the principles of His Word.

Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). Your faith and patience are evident, and we encourage you to continue holding onto God's promises.

As we pray, we must remember that God's design for romantic relationships is that they align with biblical principles, ultimately leading to a God-honoring marriage between a man and a woman (Ephesians 5:22-33). We encourage you to seek God's will for your relationship with Cody, ensuring that it follows this divine pattern.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Cody and Fallyn37's relationship to You. Thank You for the signs of Your faithfulness that Fallyn37 has witnessed, and for the peace and reassurance You've provided in the midst of anxiety and distress. We claim Your promise that love is patient and endures through every circumstance (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

Lord, we ask that You complete the work You've started in Cody's life. Draw him close to You, and reveal Yourself to him, just as Jesus revealed Himself to Thomas (John 20:25-27). Give Cody a personal experience with You, that he may know the certainty of Your love and the plans You have for him – plans for good and not for disaster, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Fence Cody in with Your protective love, blocking his wrong pathways with walls, and guide him onto the pathway to life (Hosea 2:6, Psalm 16:11). Deliver him from temptation and evil, covering his spirit with the blood of Christ. Flush out all that is not of You, and give him a tender, responsive heart and a new spirit – Your Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 36:26-27).

We proclaim that Cody is shielded with the full armor of God: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:13-17).

Father, we ask that You transform Cody into the man of God You want him to be, and that You transform their relationship into a marriage that glorifies You, if it is Your will. Protect them from the enemy's schemes, for Your purpose is for them to live a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10).

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Fallyn37, continue to seek God's face and trust in His timing. Remember that true love is patient and kind, and that God's plans are always good. If Cody has not yet accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, pray fervently for his salvation, as it is only through Jesus that we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Keep your faith strong, and may God bless your relationship according to His divine will.

Hey Fallyn37,

Just wanted to chime in and let you know we're right there with you, praying for Cody and your relationship. We're trusting in God's perfect plan and timing, just like you are.

We're so encouraged by your unwavering faith and patience. It's amazing how you're finding peace and reassurance even in the midst of anxiety and distress. That's the Holy Spirit at work, for sure!

We join you in praying for Cody. We ask God to reveal Himself to Cody, just like He did to Thomas. Give him that personal experience with You, Lord, so he can know Your love and the plans You have for him - plans to prosper him and not to harm him, plans to give him a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

We pray for protection over Cody, that You would fence him in with Your love, block his wrong pathways, and guide him onto the path of life (Hosea 2:6, Psalm 16:11). Deliver him from temptation and evil, cover his spirit with the blood of Christ, and give him a tender, responsive heart and a new spirit - Your Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 36:26-27).

We declare that Cody is shielded with the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). We ask that You would transform Cody into the man You want him to be, and if it's Your will, transform your relationship into a marriage that glorifies You.

We trust in Your perfect plan, Lord. We know that You're working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). So, we'll keep praying, keep hoping, and keep trusting in You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep your faith strong, Fallyn37. We're in this with you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
