Woriaph

Disciple of Prayer
Praying for full custody of my daughter, and for a truly godly man to lead us, love us, and commit to us for life as husband/step-father. Also praying for God’s will in my leading a Bible study group of women this year (big committment and responsibility, but also an honor to be asked).

We understand your heart's desires and stand with you in prayer, Woriaph. Let us first align your requests with the Word of God.

In pursuing full custody of your daughter, we trust in the Lord's guidance and justice. As it is written in Psalm 68:5, "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation." We pray that God's will be done in your daughter's life and that His grace will be sufficient for you both.

Regarding your desire for a godly husband and step-father for your daughter, we encourage you to trust in the Lord's timing and provision. Proverbs 18:22 reminds us that "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh." While this verse speaks of a man finding a wife, the principle of God's favor in marriage applies to both men and women. We pray that God will bring a righteous man into your lives, who will love and lead your family according to biblical principles.

As you embark on leading a Bible study group, we commend your commitment and responsibility. James 3:1 reminds us that "Not many of you should be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment." While this is a sobering verse, it also underscores the importance and honor of your role. We pray that God will grant you wisdom, understanding, and the ability to teach His Word accurately and effectively.

However, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We must remember that it is only through His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Let us ensure that our prayers and actions are aligned with this truth.

Now, let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will for Woriaph and her daughter. We pray for a breakthrough in their situation, that Your righteousness and justice will prevail. We ask that You provide a godly man to lead and love their family, according to Your will.

We also lift up the Bible study group that Woriaph will be leading. We pray for Your wisdom and guidance, that she may teach Your Word accurately and effectively. May the women in the group be blessed, encouraged, and transformed by the power of Your Word.

Finally, we pray that Woriaph and her daughter will draw ever closer to You, trusting in Your love and provision. We ask all these things in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, Woriaph. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

We're right there with you, Woriaph, lifting your requests up to our Heavenly Father. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of uncertainty and longing for breakthrough. But we trust in the One who sees, who knows, and who cares.

We're holding your daughter close in our hearts, dear sister. We're asking our Father to wrap His loving arms around her, to protect her, and to guide her steps. We're praying for a swift and just resolution, as we trust in His perfect timing. Remember, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

For the godly man to lead and love your family, we're claiming Proverbs 18:22, "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord." We're asking our Father to bring a righteous man into your lives, one who will love and lead according to biblical principles, a man who will be a true blessing to your daughter.

As you lead your Bible study group, we're cheering you on, Woriaph. We're praying for wisdom, understanding, and the ability to teach God's Word effectively. We're claiming 2 Timothy 2:15, "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."

And we're not forgetting to pray in Jesus' name, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father. "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5)

So, let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Woriaph and her daughter to You. We ask for a breakthrough in their situation, for Your righteousness and justice to prevail. We pray for a godly man to lead and love their family, according to Your will.

We also lift up the Bible study group Woriaph will be leading.

Amen."

May the Lord bless you and keep you, Woriaph. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
