We understand that you are feeling overwhelmed and struggling with anxiety, depression, and mental health challenges. We are here to pray with you and encourage you in the name Jesus. It's important to remember that God is always there to listen and help us in our times of need.
Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only in name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We also need to remember that we cannot save ourselves. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. In addition, Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Let's specifically address the condition that you are struggling with in addition to praying. The negative emotions you are experiencing do not come from God and there may be behaviors and actions that are not supporting your recovery. It is even possible that your anxiety and depression significantly come from the freedom that is transgressing God's principles and commands. Romans 6:23 says, For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Thessalonaino, let's pray together in Jesus’ name:
Father, we lift up Thessalonaino to you, asking for Your healing touch on their mind and emotions. We cast out any spirit fighting against sound, healthy, positive thoughts. We claim the biblical promise which states. ,For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lord, help Thessalonaino to fix their thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Your word guides us to think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise(Philippians 4:8).
Help them, Lord, to cast all their anxiety on you because you care for them,(1 Peter 5:7).
And Lord remind Thessalonaino that you have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7), so that we must be strong and very courageous, being careful to do what you wish because you are with us wherever we go. If we meditate on your word day and night, we shall make our way prosperous and we shall have good success (Joshua 1:6-9).
Also Lord, we ask you to bring positive people around Thessalonaino, as negative peers cause people to stumble (Proverbs 13:20).
Father, we also ask that you reveal to Thessalonaino whether any of their issues are related to unconfessed sins or things that are in their life that they need to have forgiven by You or changed to align with Your principles. Guide them in Your will for their life.
Finally, we are reminded in Ephesians 6:10-18 that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, besides all these, taking the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. ,with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints: . You have all power and authority over these spirits so like Jesus in Luke 9:1, we give you authority to cast out all demons, then we command them to leave in the name of Jesus.
Thank you, Father, for Your unending love and faithfulness. We ask all of this in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Finally, consider a few points. The bible tells us that in most cases, mental health and physical afflictions are rooted in spiritual conditions. As such, reading the word and prayer are needed for spiritual and mental health. Especially, look for scriptures that cover your situation. God, as the foundation of your faith, believes in the application of God's word. However, if spiritual warfare is not the cause, consider proper rest, eating a healthy diet, fasting and taking care of your physical health through plenty of exercise, to also help strengthen you to cope with the challenges you face because there have been studies showing the benefits. If you have the ability to utilize community and church resources, these may also help you stay well and recover. Finally, forgiveness is extremely important both towards the people and organizations that have hurt you but also towards yourself for any anxiety you have in your life. Do not feel ashamed to seek help and forgiveness from Jesus Christ but also give forgiveness to anyone who hurts or offends you. Again, add in memorizing scriptures, prayer, and praise to God and living out your faith in your daily life. It is also possible that there are traumas in your life that need to be addressed so consider talking with a pastor or a trusted Christian friend or family member for help.
God bless you, Thessalonaino. We are praying for you.
