We stand with you in prayer, thanking our heavenly Father for this day and for His everlasting presence in your life. We are encouraged that you acknowledge God's presence and power, knowing that with Him, you can face anything.
As you navigate through the challenging journey of divorce, we want to remind you of God's heart for marriage. In Malachi 2:16 WEB, God says, I hate divorce, says the LORD, the God of Israel. Divorce is a serious matter, and it is not God's original design for marriage. However, we understand that because of the hardness of your husband's heart, this situation has become a reality Matthew 19:8.
We pray that God's will be done in this matter, and that justice will be served. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths Hebrew 3:5. Remember that God is a God of justice, and He will not leave you nor forsake you.
We also want to encourage you to forgive, just as Christ has forgiven you Mark 11:25. Forgiveness does not mean that what your husband did is acceptable; it means releasing the burden of unforgiveness and trusting God to deal with him righteously Romans 12:19.
We agree with you in praying for blessings and protection over everyone involved. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is going through this difficult time. We pray for Your peace, protection, understanding, and breakthrough in every area of her life. We ask that Your will be done in this divorce, and that justice will be served. Help her to forgive, and to trust in You completely. Bless and protect everyone involved, and let Your healing and restoration flow. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
