We are with you in spirit, lifting up your family before the throne of grace. We commend you for your faith in Jesus Christ, as it is through His name that we have access to the Father and can find healing and help in times of need.
Firstly, we acknowledge your brother's condition and the challenges it presents. We know that God's word tells us that He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, especially with their brother's mental illness. We claim Your promise in Matthew 11:28-30, where You invite all who are weary and burdened to come to You for rest.
Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon this young man. We pray that You would quiet his mind and minimize the fits that have been causing distress. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance for the family, especially for their mother who is feeling devastated. Surround her with Your love and comfort.
Lord, we also pray for a godly intervention. If the mother is reluctant to seek help, we ask that You would soften her heart and guide her steps. Bring people into their lives who can provide the support and assistance they need, in accordance with Your will.
We also pray for the deceased father. We know that when a believer in Jesus dies, they are absent from the body and present with the Lord. We lift up the father into your hands.
Father, we ask that You would strengthen this family, draw them closer to You, and help them to trust in You even in the midst of these trials. We know that You will bring good out of this situation for those that love you according to Romans 8:28. And, we pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently, as the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16. Remember that God is faithful, and He will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13.
Lastly, we gently remind you that accepting help is not a sign of weakness but rather a display of wisdom. God sends help through various means, and it is important to be open to receiving it. We pray that God would change your mother's heart and help her to seek or accept the support that the family needs. We also pray that you will be patient with her and make sure to show love even when you disagree with her decisions.
