We understand that you're seeking prayer for an upcoming wedding this Saturday, and we're here to intercede and offer biblical encouragement. First, we want to remind you that God is sovereign over all things, including the weather.
As written in Psalm 148:8 WEB:
Fire, hail, snow, clouds, stormy wind, fulfilling his word;
We also know that God cares about the details of our lives, as it is written in Matthew 6:26-30
Look at the birds of the sky: they don’t sow, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
We pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this upcoming wedding. We know that You are in control of all things, including the weather. We ask that You provide fair conditions for the ceremony, allowing everyone to attend without hindrance. We pray that this day will be a beautiful and memorable celebration of the union between these two people.
Lord, we also pray for the couple and marriage. We know that you have established marriage for the good of mankind and we ask that this marriage honor You and is a blessing to the couple and the community.
Father, we ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who took our sins on Himself, died on the cross, and rose again so that we might have eternal life. It is only through Jesus that we can approach You. Thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
