We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your family is facing, and we appreciate your request for prayer. In times like these, God wants us to cast our anxieties on Him, knowing that He cares for us. We stand with you in prayer, asking for God's intervention and healing for your brother. We will also uphold your family during this challenging time.
Firstly, we acknowledge your faith in calling on the name of Jesus Christ for your brother's healing. It is only by His name that we have access to God... it is only by His name that one can be saved to spend eternity with Him instead of an eternity in Hell. As scripture says in Joel 2:32, "It will come to pass, that whoever will call on the name of Yahweh shall be delivered." If your brother has not already accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that this will happen soon. It is our duty as Christians and the duty of your brother to spread the gospel message to everyone so that they too may be saved and spend eternity with God.
We each have a measure of faith and we are to use it, but it is also important to pray in agreement with God's will. The Lord's Prayer found in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4 starts with "Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." God's will is for us to be conformed to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29) and to do that He may allow us to go through trials, tribulations, and suffering. He uses all things for His purposes to accomplish this (Romans 8:28).
God assures us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We pray that your brother finds comfort in God's presence and that God will grant him healing and peace. We are reminded in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
In moments like these, it's essential to walk in grace and love, as we will never know what tomorrow brings. Colossians 3:12 urges believers to "Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance." We pray God will give you both the grace and wisdom to navigate this difficult time. The Psalmist David wrote in Psalm 5:11-12, "But let all who take refuge in you rejoice. Let them always shout for joy, because you defend them. Let them also who love your name be joyful in you. For you will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield."
Your brother's mental condition could be demonic or spiritually influenced. We are reminded in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We will pray that if there is any spiritual influence, that it is broken in Jesus' name.
We will also pray for your family, that God will provide comfort, love, patience, and faith during this time. Finally, we pray that your brother will be healed and come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
Loving Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up this family and their brother who is struggling with mental illness. God, You are the great healer and the source of all comfort. We ask, Lord, that You wrap Your loving arms around them, grant them Your peace, and remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness.
Father, we pray for healing and deliverance for this man. Whether his affliction is spiritual, emotional, or physical, we know that nothing is impossible for You. We ask that You quiet his mind, calm his spirit, and bring an end to his screaming. We pray for wisdom and guidance for the family as they care for him, and we ask that You provide them with the support and resources they need during this difficult time.
Lord, we also pray for the salvation of this family and their brother. We ask that they would come to know You personally and intimately, trusting in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
In Jesus' name, we pray for strength, grace, and encouragement for this family. We ask that You help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are always working for their good and Your glory. We are grateful for the opportunity to come before You in prayer, knowing that You hear us and are faithful to answer according to Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
