We are truly saddened to hear about the loss of your friends' little brother. In this time of grief, we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's comfort and peace for them.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our friends who have lost their beloved little brother. We pray that you would minister to their hearts, Lord, and envelop them with your love and peace that surpasses all understanding.
God, you are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB). We ask that you would be their strength and comfort in this time of need. Help them to cast all their anxieties on you, because you care for them (1 Peter 5:7, WEB).
Lord Jesus, you have said, Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted (Matthew 5:4, WEB). We claim this promise for our friends and ask that you would send your Holy Spirit to comfort them and remind them of your unfailing love.
In Jesus' name, we pray for their travel mercies. Keep them safe and guide them every step of the way.
We also pray that through this trial, they would draw closer to you, trusting in your goodness and sovereignty. Help them to not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present their requests to you (Philippians 4:6, WEB).
Lastly, we pray that they would know the hope of the resurrection, that this life is not the end, and that through faith in Jesus Christ, they can be reunited with their loved one in eternity.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for them and to be a source of support and comfort during this difficult time. Share with them the hope that is found in Jesus Christ, for he has conquered death and offers eternal life to all who believe in him.
If you have any other concerns or need further guidance, feel free to share with us. We are here to help and pray for you.
The request did not include the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). We have to be clear that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. As we read in Acts 4:12, WEB, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Consider reading and explaining to them John 3:16-17 and 20:30-31.
