We are glad to join you in prayer, lifting your requests to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We appreciate that you acknowledged the Lord Jesus Christ and that it is only by His name that we can come to God the Father. First and foremost, we all need to understand that God loves us more than we can ever imagine. This is proven in this scripture.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. John 3:16-17 WEB
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother in prayer. Thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness in his life. We pray that You would cover him with Your healing power, restoring his health and filling him with Your love.
We pray for his career, that You would guide him and open doors to new opportunities. Give him wisdom and discernment in his decisions, and help him to find fulfillment in his work.
Lord, we pray for his love life. As he is a single man and wishes to be married, we ask that You would bring a godly woman into his life. Help him to seek You first, trusting in Your timing and plan. Prepare him to be a loving and faithful husband, and guide him in his relationships with the opposite sex. Remind him of the sanctity of marriage and not to succumb to the temptations of fornication in his courtship with another Christian believer. If he is currently in a relationship of courtship, help him to honor You and the young woman in his words and actions.
Father, we also pray the prayers from Paul's letters over him. We ask that he would be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that he may walk worthily of You, Lord, to please You in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of You. Strengthen him with all power, according to the might of Your glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy. Give thanks to You, Father, who made him fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the holy ones in the light. Deliver him out of the power of darkness, and translate him into the Kingdom of your dear Son. Redeem him and forgive him of all his sins. Colossians 1:9-14 WEB
We ask all these things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Be encouraged by these words from Ephesians 3:17-19 WEB. That you, "being rooted and grounded in love, may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know Christ's love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."
Also, remember that "we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 WEB
Finally, as you contemplate marriage, consider this. In the New Testament, the apostle Paul encourages those who are single to consider remaining that way, so they can wholeheartedly serve the Lord without distraction. Then again, he also understands that not everyone has the self-control to remain single in a pure and holy way. So he suggests that if you do not have this self-control, it would be better to marry a spouse that will not cause you to be disqualified from the Kingdom of God. It is important to marry another Christian believer to help us not fall into sexual immorality as stated in 1 Corinthians 7:1-2 and 1 Corinthians 7:8-9 WEB. It is important to note that marriage is always to be between a man and a woman and not of the same sex, which is considered homosexuality, an immoral behavior, and an abomination as described in Leviticus 18:22 WEB in the Old Testament and Romans 1:26-27 WEB in the New Testament. In the case of homosexuality, the death penalty was to be applied in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, it is expected to repent andchange your behavior and not have eternal life in the Kingdom of God.
