We are glad to come together in Jesus' name and pray for you and your mother.
Firstly, it is wonderful that you desire to be an understanding person and be there for others. This is a testament to your heart of compassion and love. We are encouraged to "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2 (WEB). Remember, it is only by the grace of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit that we can truly understand and support others. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23 (WEB).
Now, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking that You fill this individual with Your wisdom, understanding, and empathy. Guide them by Your Holy Spirit, so they may truly be a beacon of Your love and support to those around them. Help them to show others the same grace You have shown to us. This we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
Regarding your mother, we are here to lift her up in prayer and believe that God can heal her from depression. We know that "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3 (WEB). It is crucial to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted, and He is the ultimate source of comfort and healing . "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB).
Let us pray for your mother:
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy upon this precious soul and release her from the stronghold of depression. Heal her, Lord, and let Your peace fill her heart. Surround her with Your love, and give her the strength to overcome this struggle. Guide her to a loving and caring Christian community that can support and uplift her. May she find her hope, joy, and peace in You. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you both to seek God's will in all things and to draw near to Him. "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament, mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you." James 4:8-10 (WEB). Remember, it is only in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" 1 Timothy 2:5 (WEB). If you ever feel overwhelmed, cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 (WEB).
May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 (WEB).
