Thank you for bringing your concerns for your son ### to our attention. It's wonderful to hear that he is a good kid, very helpful and sweet. We will stand with you in prayer as you seek God's will for his life.
Firstly, we are glad that you are praying for your son ### in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and his forgiveness. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Just as Acts 4:12 WEB states.
Regarding ### looking for his first fight, we must consider what the Bible says about violence and conflict. While we understand that there might be various reasons for this, such as self-defense or sports like boxing, it's essential to approach this topic with biblical principles in mind. In Romans 12:18 WEB, it is written If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. And in Matthew 5:39 WEB But I tell you, do not resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.
We must also consider the influence of the power of the tongue and the mind. As it is written in Proverbs 23:7 WEB For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. If ### is focusing on fights, it may lead him into unnecessary conflicts.
Instead, let's pray for ### to be a peacemaker and to use his strengths to protect and serve others, rather than to engage in violence. As it is written in Matthew 5:9 WEB Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus to lift up ###. We thank You for his helping and sweet spirit, and we ask that You continue to shape him into the man You have called him to be. Lord, we pray that You would guide his steps and desires, leading him to pursue peace and righteousness. Help him to use his strengths to protect and serve others, rather than to engage in violence. Surround him with godly influences and friends who will encourage him in his walk with You. If fighting is not Your will for him rebuke it out of his life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
