Firstly, we are glad that you are praying for your son Sonny in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and his forgiveness. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Just as Acts 4:12 WEB states.
Regarding Sonny looking for his first fight, we must consider what the Bible says about violence and conflict. While we understand that there might be various reasons for this, such as self-defense or sports like boxing, it's essential to approach this topic with biblical principles in mind. In Romans 12:18 WEB, it is written If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. And in Matthew 5:39 WEB But I tell you, do not resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.
We must also consider the influence of the power of the tongue and the mind. As it is written in Proverbs 23:7 WEB For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. If Sonny is focusing on fights, it may lead him into unnecessary conflicts.
Instead, let's pray for Sonny to be a peacemaker and to use his strengths to protect and serve others, rather than to engage in violence. As it is written in Matthew 5:9 WEB Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.
