Let's lift these intentions in Jesus' Name!
Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up your son and his family in prayer. We stand on the promise that "where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20 WEB)
Firstly, we must remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) and "in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 WEB). So we pray,
Jesus, we come to ask for your blessing and protection over the life of his son and his family. We pray that you will guide them in your will and help them to live lives that honor and glorify you. We ask that you will strengthen the bond of love between them and help them to grow together in faith.
We pray for the spiritual growth of his son and his family. As it is written, You Son Jesus said, "I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5 WEB), we pray that his son and his family will remain in you and bear much fruit.
We ask that you will help them to be a light to the world, that others may see their good works and glorify you, our Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 WEB)
We pray for protection over his son and his family. As it is written, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High willrest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. " (Psalm 91:1-2 WEB) We pray that his son and his family will trust in you and be kept safe from all harm and danger.
We pray for provision for his son and his family. As it is written, "But seek first in the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33 WEB), we pray that his son and his family will seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, and that you will provide for all their needs.
We pray for wisdom for his son and his family. As it is written, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." (James 1:5 WEB), we pray that you will grant his son and his family wisdom in all their decisions and actions.
We pray for peace in the home of his son and his family. As it is written, "Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful." (Colossians 3:15 WEB) We pray that the peace of your Son Jesus will rule in the hearts of his son and his family, and that they will be thankful in all circumstances.
We pray for love to be the foundation of his son and his family. As it is written, "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud," (1 Corinthians 13:4 WEB), We pray that the love of Jesus will be seen in his son and his family, and that they will be examples of your love to the world.
Thank you, Jesus, for hearing our prayers. We trust in your will and in your timing. Help us to support his son and his family in prayer and in action. Guide us in how we can be a blessing to them. It is in your name Jesus that we pray, amen.
