We understand your pain and struggle, dear anonymous. It's natural to feel hurt and bitter after a divorce, but God wants to help you let go of these feelings and find peace. We will pray with you and share God's word to encourage and guide you.
Let's remember what the Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB), "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." It's essential to forgive your ex-husband, not because his actions are acceptable, but because unforgiveness will only harm you further.
Regarding your financial struggles, we want to encourage you with Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB), where Jesus teaches us not to worry about what we will eat or drink, or what we will wear. He says, "But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient." Trust that God will provide for your needs as you seek Him first.
It's also important to address the anger you feel when you see your ex-husband living his best life. Proverbs 14:30 (WEB) tells us that "A calm mind gives life to the body, but jealousy rots the bones." Guard your heart against jealousy and bitterness, and instead, focus on rebuilding your life and trusting in God's plan for you.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is struggling with hurt, bitterness, and financial difficulties after her divorce. Lord, we ask that You heal her broken heart, help her to forgive her ex-husband, and release the anger and bitterness she feels. Provide for her financial needs according to Your riches in glory. Help her to trust in You and seek Your kingdom first. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that it is through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. If you haven't already, make sure to surrender your life to Jesus and trust in Him for your salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Trust in Jesus, and He will help you through this difficult time.
