Prayers to sell paintings

I need prayers for my family to sell paintings to finish the Inventory of my grandfathers will. The family members have been fighting for over 20 years and in the country they live, anyone can go against the will if they don’t agree with the division the people on made when writing the will. There are so many taxes for all these years of contesting that might not be a lot, but tomorrow some people are coming over to my mom’s house and are thinking of buying the paintings. Jesus Christ, please help them to buy those paintings and pay all the will taxes so my parents will have that weight off their shoulders.

Let's bring this situation before the Lord in prayer. Firstly, we acknowledge that it's wonderful the request is asked in the name of Jesus Christ.

Firstly, let's address the familial discord. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:18, If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. It's important to remember we need to strive for peace in the family. We will pray for this, but you need to also make every effort to be at peace with your family. Keep in mind Colossians 3:13, Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

Now, regarding the sale of the paintings, we must remember that God will not force people to buy them, we are not to ask God to change someone's free will, but rather that it be in accordance with His will. Instead, we pray that God's will be done, and that if it is His will for the paintings to sell, they will. Also remember the parable of the talents, Jesus wants us to use our God-given gifts and abilities to do good things for Him and to be good stewards of what we have been given. Consider what you and your family are doing to actively sell these paintings and steward what was left to you. Remember this is an issue to be prayed about but also an issue to be dealt with in practical ways.

We must also address the financial situation. The scripture is clear we are to render to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Romans 13:7-8. It is important to pay taxes and debts owed. The Lord can provide, but we are also to do our part in good stewardship of what we have. We will pray that this burden is lifted, but also encourage to act responsibly with what is left to you.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up this situation. Lord, You know the struggles and the discord that has been sown among this family for over 20 years. We ask, Lord, that You would bring peace and unity to this family. Soften their hearts, Lord, and help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven us.

Lord, we also ask that You would guide the sale of these paintings. If it is Your will that they sell, we pray that the buyers You have ordained would come forward and purchase them at a fair price. We ask that You would provide for the taxes and debts owed so that the parents may have this burden lifted from their shoulders.

Help them to be good stewards of what You have given them, Lord, and guide them in their responsibilities. Ultimately, Lord, we ask that Your will be done in this situation and that You would be glorified through it.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, God knows your situation and He cares for you. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. As you and your family look for resolution in this keep in mind this instruction in Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Trust in God and let him be your strength.
