We are with you in spirit, dear friend, as you embark on this journey to overcome your nicotine addiction. Let us first turn to the words of the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
We rejoice in your decision to quit cold turkey, and we will stand with you in prayer, asking God to grant you strength and endurance. Let us pray together:
"Father God, we come before You today, lifting up our dear friend who has decided to quit using smokeless tobacco. Lord, we know that this will not be easy, but we also know that with You, all things are possible. Please grant them the strength to overcome this addiction and comfort them during the withdrawal phase. Help them to focus on You and Your promises, knowing that their body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB), 'Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.' We give all glory and thanks to You, Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen."
We encourage you to keep your focus on Christ and His promises. Whenever the cravings come, turn to Him in prayer and resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we find salvation (Acts 4:12). You are not alone in this fight, for we are standing with you, and more importantly, God is with you. Be strong and courageous, dear friend.
