Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother or sister who is struggling with nicotine addiction. Lord, we know that You are a God of deliverance and healing. Your Word says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We ask that You grant them the strength and willpower to overcome this addiction.

Father, we pray that You break the chains of nicotine dependency and fill their heart with Your peace and comfort. Help them to find their satisfaction and fulfillment in You alone. As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." Provide them with the way out, Lord, and surround them with supportive people who will encourage them in this journey.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ. We trust in Your unfailing love and grace.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

I am trying to quit my nicotine addiction, please pray for me. I am struggling with it, and struggling to know if I'm properly surrendering it to Him. I'm trying not to worry about it and let Him handle it, but I also feel ashamed at the thought of not continuing to try and quit myself.
