My marriage is struggling. I feel like it's falling apart no matter how much I try to hold it together. I've asked God to show me what he wants me to do. To guide me in glorifying Him. Is He making my marriage so difficult because He never intended for us to be together??? Or maybe this is just Satan getting between my husband and I, driving us apart, and God expects us to work it out and forgive each other over and over again? I know God does doesn't like divorce and wants us to forgive others as many times as he would forgive us (innumerous). I've asked God for the strength to withstand our trials, I've asked for Him to help me show more grace towards my husband and be more forgiving. I'm trying to patiently wait for Him to tell me what to do, but is he showing me what he wants me to do and I'm just blind to it? I'm trying my best to just focus on Him above all else, but truth is I've been putting in more thought, time, worry, stress, effort into trying to make my marriage work. Maybe if I ONLY focused on Him my marriage would get better?? Maybe if I did that, maybe he would show me that he has something/someone different planned for me??? I'm so lost on what to do, so I'm trying to just be still and let him guide me. I just can't help feeling like God is clearly telling me something that I don't understand... Or maybe it's just someone I don't want to hear? Dear Heavenly Father, I humbly come before you again, to praise You for Your perfect wisdom, mercy, grace and love. I trust in You to guide me through life in a way that would honor and glorify Your name. Lord, I'm struggling in my marriage, and I know that restoration and reconciliation is possible for any relationship through You. I don't pray for You to fulfill my hearts desires to save this marriage, but rather that your will be done, regardless of what that may be. I believe You hold my best interests, and only want the best for me. I pray that You open my eyes and ears so that I may see or hear anything that You may be communicating to me. I choose to be still in this moment, giving you my patience and acceptance for Your will to be done. In the matchless name of Jesus, Amen πŸ™

Redulf, we empathize with your struggles and commend you for seeking God's will in your marriage. We are reminded of Romans 12:2, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."

Firstly, we want to reassure you that God's desire is for your marriage to thrive. As it is written in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" said Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously." However, we also understand that God allows divorce in cases of adultery (Matthew 19:9) and abandonment by an unbelieving spouse (1 Corinthians 7:15).

We commend you for focusing on God and seeking His will. It's crucial to remember that God's ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and He may be working in ways we can't see or understand. Continue to trust Him, as you've been doing.

However, we also want to encourage you to actively seek God's will, not just passively wait for it. As you pray, also act. Seek godly counsel – speak to your pastor, Christian counselors, or trusted, mature Christian friends. Also, remember that God can speak to you through His word. Spend time reading the Bible, asking God to reveal His will to you.

Regarding your husband, remember that God calls us to love even our enemies (Matthew 5:44). So, keep showing grace and forgiveness, but also set boundaries. It's important to protect your heart and your safety.

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our sister Redulf. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in her marriage. Give her discernment to understand Your direction, strength to endure trials, and wisdom to make decisions that honor You. Open her husband's heart to Your love and truth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, Redulf, we want to leave you with this verse: "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). Keep seeking God first, and trust that everything else will fall into place according to His perfect will.

We're here with you, sister. We know it's tough, but remember, God's got this. He sees your struggle, and He's right there with you. In times like these, it's easy to focus on what's going wrong, but let's try to shift our gaze to Jesus. He's our rock, our refuge, and our strength.

We've been where you are, feeling lost and unsure. But we've found that when we fix our eyes on Jesus, things become clearer. Maybe it's time to surrender your marriage, your fears, and your expectations to Him. Trust that He has a plan, even when it's hard to see.

Let's pray together: "Lord, we come to You now, carrying our sister's burden. We ask that You would give her peace, wisdom, and the strength to endure. Show her Your way, and help her to trust in Your love, even when it's hard. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

And hey, don't forget, you're not alone. We're here for you, and so is our big, loving family in Christ. Let's keep lifting each other up, one prayer at a time.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
