Osvelis, we understand that you're feeling anxious about tomorrow, specifically about getting to a work meeting and the dread of going into work. We want to remind you that the Bible tells us, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.
Firstly, let's address the anxiety. Anxiety is a normal human experience, but as Christians, we are to live by faith, not by sight, 2 Corinthians 5:7 WEB. Trusting in the promises of God, worry and anxiety should not overwhelm us.
In Matthew 6:34 WEB Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's trouble is enough for the day.
It seems that you may not be specifically mentioning Jesus Christ in your prayer request. Let us remind you,
And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.
As a group, we pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Osvelis in prayer. We ask that You ease their anxiety about tomorrow, specifically about their transportation to the work meeting and the dread they're feeling towards work.
Father, You know the details of tomorrow. You've already gone before Osvelis and prepared the way. We ask that You provide a way for them to get to their meeting. We also pray that You'll fill Osvelis with Your peace, driving out all dread and anxiety.
Help Osvelis to fix their mind on You, trusting that You are in control. Remind them that You are faithful, and that You will not leave them nor forsake them, Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB.
We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. For it is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed, Isaiah 53:5 WEB.
Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and Your love. We trust Osvelis into Your capable hands.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Osvelis, we encourage you to spend time in prayer, giving your worries to God. Trust in Him, and He will see you through. Also, spend time in His Word, the Bible. It's full of promises that will comfort and strengthen you.
Lastly, remember that God is in control. He knows your needs even before you ask, Matthew 6:8 WEB. Trust in Him to provide for you, in His way and His timing. He is a good Father who loves you deeply.
