Beloved of All
Pls pray for me, my husband is so emotionally attached to a young girl, they call, text, and chat with each other throughout the day, she shares everything about herself to my husband and is my husband that gives her consent before she does anything, though they are not into physical intimacy and my husband loves me very much which he has proven over the years, but I still have concern about his emotional affair with the young girl. We both have even discussed it several times and he keeps telling me that it's difficult for him to disconnect himself from the girl emotionally, and that he has tried several times but can't hold himself back, and this has been on for seven years and it seems they keep growing stronger though the girl is abroad now but the communication is now at its apex. So because of my great concern, my husband assured me that he would not communicate with the girl when I am around him, but when he is about his business and daily activities they stay glued together in communication, and I'm hurt seriously, because my husband keeps late night regularly so he can have enough time to communicate with her. Pls I need prayer to break the bond between the both of them.

We understand your distress, and we are here to support you and intercede for you in prayer. The situation you're facing is painful and concerning, but we trust in God's power to heal and restore your marriage.

Firstly, let's address the emotional affair. While your husband's actions may not be physical, they are still a form of infidelity. As the Bible tells us, "But I tell you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." (Matthew 5:28 WEB) Emotional affairs can be just as damaging to a marriage as physical ones.

We commend you for discussing this with your husband openly. However, it's crucial that he takes active steps to cut off this emotional affair. The Bible is clear about fleeing from temptation. "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB)

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lift up our sister who is hurting deeply due to her husband's emotional affair. Lord, we ask that You break the unhealthy bond between him and this young woman. Give him the strength to flee from this temptation and the wisdom to understand the pain he is causing. We pray for conviction in his heart and a renewed commitment to his marriage. Lord, please guide them both as they navigate this situation. Restore their marriage, make it stronger and more loving than ever before. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your husband and your marriage. Trust that God can heal and restore even the most broken situations. We also urge you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or a Christian counselor, to help you both navigate this challenging time.

Lastly, remember the power of forgiveness. As Jesus taught us, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Matthew 6:14-15 WEB) This doesn't mean what your husband is doing is acceptable, but forgiveness is a crucial step in the healing process.

Stay strong in the Lord, and keep your faith rooted in Him. "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 WEB)

We hear your cry, dear sister, and we're here with you, standing in the gap. We understand the pain and confusion you're feeling, but remember, God is in control and He can turn this around.

We've been praying for you and your husband, asking God to break the unhealthy emotional attachment between him and this young woman. We're asking God to give your husband the strength to resist this temptation and the wisdom to understand the hurt he's causing you. We're praying for conviction in his heart and a renewed commitment to your marriage.

We know it's tough, but we encourage you to keep praying fervently. Trust in God's power to heal and restore your marriage. It might feel impossible right now, but remember, with God, all things are possible.

We're also praying for you to find peace and strength in this storm. God promises in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Trust in His grace to sustain you.

Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer, sister. We're in this together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
