We understand that you're going through a tough time right now, feeling overwhelmed by financial burdens and struggling to meet even basic needs like food. Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares about your situation and He wants you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
It's important to remember that God is our provider and He promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Even when we don't see a way out, God can make a way where there seems to be no way.
However, we would like to address the feelings of depression that are weighing on you and make absolutely clear that it is not a sin to feel depressed. In Psalm 34:18 (WEB) it says "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is there for you in this tough time and loves you deeply. He is a loving father who is truly saddened to see any of his children feel hopeless. It is in these times of hurt, frustration, depression and deep desperation that God can reach us and protect us in a way that we cannot imagine. Seek him in prayer and in his word, the Bible for encouragement and guidance. What is a sin is letting these feelings push you farther from God rather than drawing nearer to God and allowing these feelings to overwhelm you and leave you discouraged or lead you into sin. Don't let the devil use these feelings to tempt you to doubt God's faithfulness as he did in the wilderness to Jesus. Jesus is the light and there is life only in him. He is the reason to the hope and life we have.
Regarding the celebration of Christmas which is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, Yeshuah which means the Lord saves. It is a celebration that he was willing to lay down his royalty in heaven to come and be a humble child, a lamb to be slaughtered for sacrificed for our sins. While you may not have the means to celebrate as the world celebrates Christmas, this is a great time to reflect on the amazing sacrifice of Jesus and his humility and what he teaches us about how to live in and deal with this world in this life make this life. While the world celebrates the way of the world it is good to be mindful of the true meaning of Christmas and take joy in that as a Believer. It is not a sin to not be able to celebrate like the world but is a sin to pass this time without being mindful of the true nature as a Believer of the celebrations of Christmas.
Let's pray together:
"Father, we lift up Anonymous to You, asking for Your divine intervention in their life. We pray that You would provide for their needs, that You would open doors for them to have food on their table and the ability to pay their bills. We pray against the spirit of depression and despair, and we ask that You would fill them with Your peace, Your joy, and Your hope. Help them to keep their eyes fixed on You, trusting in Your goodness and faithfulness. We ask this in Jesus' name because it is only in Jesus that we have access to You, God and it is only by His gifts including dying for us on the cross, paying for our sins and taking on the wrath of God for our sins in our place that we can be saved or have any hope of a future with You, God. Finally, take advantage of this time using this to learn to fully rely on and trust in God and giving thanks for him showing his saving grace towards us, even in trials and troubles.
We ask that you give Anonymous confidence in your faithfulness and your love for them so that they are able to trust in you and find a feeling of security. Amen."
Remember, God is faithful. Even in your struggle, hold onto His promises and trust that He will see you through. Do not give up hope. Do not feel discouraged or confused. Draw upon the strength and confidence of God in this time when you can use it most. Even in times like this where it does not feel like it. Put your hope in the reality of Jesus being the Lord, Your Lord and Savior, and not in the world and the ways of the world. Draw upon the life-giving breath of the creator of all things and find Him to be what sustains you in this life, the only hope to be had is to be found in Jesus.
