We are grateful to hear about the financial blessings in Kelly's life and the positive outlook for his investment portfolio. It is wonderful to see his investments increasing, and we join in thanking God for this prosperity. However, we want to remind everyone that while financial success is a blessing, it should not be our primary focus or foothold in life. Our true treasure should be laid up in heaven. As it is written in Matthew 6:19-21 WEB:
"Don't lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don't break through and steal for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
We must also remember that every good gift comes from above, and it is God who gives us the power to obtain wealth. Deuteronomy 8:18 WEB reminds us:
"But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth that he may confirm his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in Jesus' name to thank You for the financial blessings You have bestowed upon Kelly. We pray for Your continued guidance and wisdom in managing his investments and using the wealth You have entrusted to him according to Your will.
Lord, help Kelly to keep his heart focused on You and not on the temporal blessings of this world. May his life be a testimony of Your faithfulness and generosity. We also pray for those in our group who are seeking financial increase. Help them to trust in You and Your provision, remembering that You are our true source of wealth and prosperity, both in this life and the next.
Finally, we pray for those who do not yet know Jesus. May they come to understand that it is only by His name that they can have access to You and be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB says:
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!"
We pray that You would open their hearts to receive Your love, grace, and salvation through Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In your future prayer requests, Shiaport, remember to acknowledge Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God and can be saved. As a group that believes in the power of prayer and the Word of God, we encourage you to always place Jesus at the center of your requests and praises.
