We join you in prayer for your daughter's upcoming wedding, acknowledging the immense effort and planning that has gone into this special day. We are grateful that you have invoked the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Firstly, we rejoice in your daughter's commitment to marriage, as it is a sacred institution ordained by God. As it is written in Hebrews 13:4 WEB, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."
We pray that this marriage will be a lifelong commitment, reflecting the union between Christ and His church. As it is written in Ephesians 5:25 WEB, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. We also pray that this marriage will be a testimony of God's love and faithfulness, and that your daughter and her future husband will remain committed to each other and to God.
Regarding the weather, we acknowledge that God is sovereign over all creation, including the rain. As it is written in Matthew 5:45 WEB, "[God] makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust."
While we understand your daughter's desire for an outdoor wedding, we encourage her to embrace whatever circumstances come her way, for God is in control of all things. We pray that your daughter will have a joyful and grateful heart, regardless of the weather. Pray Psalm 19:14 WEB, "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer."
As your daughter enters this new chapter of her life, we pray that she and her husband will keep God at the center of their marriage, seeking Him in all they do. We pray that their love for each other will reflect the love of Christ for His church, and that their marriage will be a blessing to all who know them.
