We understand your concern and are here to support you in prayer. Before we begin, we want to remind you of the importance of invoking the name of Jesus Christ in our prayers. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Regarding your request, it's wonderful that you are seeking help for your child in their obedience and listening skills. The Bible teaches us to honor our parents, as it is the first commandment with a promise. In Ephesians 6:1-3 WEB, we read, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking you for the precious gift of children. We lift up this child to you, asking for your help in teaching them obedience and attentiveness. Help them to understand and embrace the commandment to honor their parents, and to see the blessings that come from obedience.
Lord, we also pray for the parents. Grant them wisdom, patience, and grace as they guide their child. Help them to be a reflection of your love and discipline, and to create an environment that fosters growth and learning.
We ask for Jesus to live through each family member, we thank you for hearing our prayer, and we ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Remember, it is our responsibility as parents to teach our children in the ways of the Lord. Proverbs 22:6 WEB tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Continue to teach and guide your child, and trust in the Lord to bring about the change you desire.
