We are glad to join you in prayer for your family, your health, protection, finances, your child, and your work. Let's bring these concerns to God in the name of Jesus. We will also discuss how God's word applies to your concerns.
First, it's important to acknowledge that God wants us to come to Him in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
And in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
So, let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You for the blessings You have already poured out on this family, and we ask for Your continued grace and mercy.
Lord, we pray for the health and protection of this family. We know that You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. Please keep them safe from all harm and disease in Jesus' Name.
Father, we also lift up their finances to You. We know that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Please meet their needs and help them to be good stewards of the resources You have entrusted to them.
God, we ask You to help this family rely on you for all provision rather than debt, worry, and anxiety. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus said:
Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's trouble is enough for the day.
And we pray for their child, Lord. We ask that You would guide them and protect them, and that You would draw them to Yourself. Help the parents raise their child in the knowledge and wisdom of God's word. In Proverbs 22:6 WEB, You tell us:
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Lord, we also pray for the work of the sole income earner. We ask that You would bless their work and give them favor. Help them to work heartily, as working for You and not for man. According to Colossians 3:23-24 WEB:
And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.
We pray all these things in Jesus name. We thank you for the opportunity to pray for this family.
We encourage you to continue to trust in God and His promises. Remember that He is faithful, and that He cares for you and your family. Keep seeking Him and His will for your lives, and trust that He will provide for all your needs.
Finally, we caution against anxiety and worry as discussed in Matthew 6:25-34. Make sure that you meet the needs of your family to the best of your ability, while trusting that God will do the rest.
