We understand that you're going through a challenging time, feeling overwhelmed and underappreciated. Firstly, we commend you for turning to Jesus and acknowledging that He has the answers. It's important to remember that God is always with us, even in difficult times. As it says in Hebrews 13:5, Be content with such things as you have. For he has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.
In regards to your situation, we want to address a couple of things. Firstly, it's important to remember that God calls us to be in relationship with Him first and foremost. He wants us to cast our burdens on Him, as it says in 1 Peter 5:7, Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
Secondly, we want to address the issue of the person who is supposed to be the head of the house. The Bible tells us love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Marriage is a lifelong commitment and it requires both parties to actively engage and support each other. It's important to communicate openly and honestly with him about how you're feeling. It's also important to pray for him and for your marriage.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to rest in God's promises. He knows your struggles and He cares for you. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths in Proverbs 3:5-6.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister who is feeling overwhelmed and underappreciated. We thank You that she has turned to You for direction and we ask that You guide her every step. We pray for her marriage, that You would strengthen their bond and encourage open communication. We pray for her husband, that You would convict his heart and guide him in the way he should go. We ask that You would help them both to live in a manner that is pleasing to You. We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
