Let us come together and lift up these five unspoken prayer requests. This is our priority in this fellowship. Let nothing hinder our relationship with Jesus Christ or draw us away for the privilege of praying to him. May we remember that Jesus says, "If you will remain in my word then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth and the truth will make you free." He is our bread of life and came down from heaven to do his Fathers will. It is believing in Jesus you will have eternal life, because he laid down his life for you and for all sinners. You do not need to be a slave of sin. His death on the cross has ended that master over us and we have now become children of God, "Children born not of blood, the desire of the flesh, but of God." This is why we are now even able to come before His throne of grace with confidence.
As injunction and encouragement to our prayers spoken or unspoken, the word of God tells us in First Thessalonians chapter five verse seventeen encourages us to, "Pray without ceasing." Even as Peter lied to other Christians and shunned Jesus after he was arrested replies to those who asked him,"I do not know the man!" Jesus looked at him directly. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord Jesus, how he said to him, 'before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.' He went out and wept bitterly. Humble us Lord Jesus so that we cling to you and speak and pray everything on our hearts and minds to you trusting in your working on our hearts through our prayers.
Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother or sister who has submitted these five unspoken prayer requests. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the details of each request. We pray that Your will be done in each situation, and that You will provide comfort, guidance, and strength to our family member in Christ.
Help this person to cast all their cares on you because you care for them as in First Peter chapter five, verse seven. Your word also says in Philippians chapter four, verses six through eight, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." Help us to live our lives like Jesus said so the Father would be glorified. Jesus continues, "In that day you will ask in my name; and I do not say to you, that I will pray to the Father for you, for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from God.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. The only name by which we are saved.
