We are here to lift you up in prayer and to seek God's will for your life. First, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is through Jesus that our prayers reach God and we can also get to heaven. Only by believing in Jesus Christ as Saviour, the Son of God, and the only mediator, we can be saved. We also want to remind you of the power of speaking out your prayers, as there is power in the tongue according to Proverbs 18:21 (WEB), "Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit." However, we understand that there may be sensitive issues that need to remain unspoken.
In response, know that God hears your unspoken prayers and the groanings that cannot be uttered, and see Romans 8:26 (WEB), "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered."
Let us pray together:
Almighty, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the unspoken requests they have. We pray that Your will be done in their lives, for we know that's the best thing for them. It is only by your sacrifice Jesus Christ that we can come before the throne of Grace, God.
We also pray for our brother's/sister's relationships, that they will align with Your word. If they are in a premarital relationship, we pray that it will be one that honors You, and that they will stay pure and abstain from fornication, as it is written in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 (WEB), "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don't know God."
We pray that if it is Your will, You will bring forth a godly spouse for them, a marriage that will be a blessing and a testimony of Your love and faithfulness, Champion of the universe. In all things, we ask that You give them discernment, wisdom, and a heart that seeks after You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. (If someone says IJN it is short hand, but it is good to sitll make sure that the person knows that it is only through Jesus that we can come to God and live forever in heaven).
Remember, God is faithful and He cares for you. Trust in Him and His timing. Be strong and hold steadfastly to godly and biblical principles in every area or relationship in life
