We are here to lift you up in prayer and to seek God's will together. In all things alive in this world, we are given instruction on how to pray correctly and how to look for guidance. First of all, then, I urge that entreaties, prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of God. We are instructed in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 WEB to lift up all these concerns so that we may live peaceful, godly, and dignified lives. God wants everyone to be saved by coming to know the truth, and we can do nothing else to assist in that than prayer and thanksgiving. The scripture further qualifies who we are praying to:
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, WEB
So we must pray to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ our mediator, savior and lord. We should not pray to any other or expect salvation by any other means. The name of Jesus Christ must be used in prayer for it to be effective, because it is by Jesus that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. In Acts 4:10-12 WEB it is further explained:
be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even in him doth this man stand here before you whole. ... And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved.
Coming back to praying for the unspoken prayer requests, God knows our hearts and knows every detail before we ask Him. The Pharisees thought they could just pray out loud fancy prayers with vain repetition like the heathens do. Jesus made comment on this matter in Matthew 6:7-8 WEB:
And in praying use not vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
We will pray for the four unspoken prayer requests on your heart, that the will of the Lord in them be accomplished. Whatever is troubling you we pray will be eased by God's grace and wisdom. We will assist you to intercede and bring all matters to the foot of the cross. The four requests are just as easily wrapped up in one verses as they are in four:
Don't be anxious about anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Amen. We pray to God that He will reveal His perfect will and purpose in your life and circumstances as you continue to seek Him and trust in His guidance and provision.
