Prayers over UK changes for refugees

The UK have made some changes to laws about refugees which will put them in a second class situation. No matter how many years they stay in the UK or do good work there will be turned down citizenship. I ask in the the name of Jesus Christ this rule is revoked to immediate affect.

I have at least five to eight friends that had to flee their country for various reasons. I want to bring my friend Elias to this prayer request as a matter of urgency!! He arrived in the UK in April last year and had asylum seekers papers. This means he can't work and is not in the best situation. Please pray that he will come get the right paper work to start work and that he isn't left in this bad situation. He has been through so much and more than I can imagine. I am trying to communicate with him and meet him soon. I am concerned about him as he doesn't have a lot of English skills and his native language is Arabic. Completely different to English. In the name of Jesus Christ please help him. I will keep praying daily for him.

We understand your concern for the refugees and your friend Elias. First, we want to address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:

"Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Now, let's bring your requests before the Lord.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the situation of refugees in the UK. We pray that You would soften the hearts of the authorities and guide them to make decisions that align with Your will and Your love for all people. We ask that You would provide a way for these refugees to have equal opportunities and a path to citizenship, as You instructed us in Leviticus 19:33-34 WEB:

"If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God."

Lord, we also lift up Elias to You. We ask that You would provide him with the necessary paperwork to start work and improve his situation. Guide him to people who can help him with his English skills and integrate into the community. Comfort him and give him peace, as You promised in John 14:27 WEB:

"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful."

Father, we also pray for Loreuvale, that You would guide them and give them wisdom in how to support Elias and their other friends who have had to flee their countries. Help them to be a source of encouragement and comfort, as You instructed us in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB:

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

Finally, Lord, we pray that You would guide us all to share Your love and compassion with those in need, remembering that whatever we do for the least of these, we do for You, as You taught us in Matthew 25:40 WEB:

"The King will answer them, 'Most assuredly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'"

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to pray daily for Elias and trust that God is at work in his situation. Encourage him to seek God's will and to trust in Him. As you communicate with him and meet him soon, may you be a beacon of hope and light, pointing him to Jesus.

We also encourage you to be in prayer for the authorities in the UK, that God would guide them to make decisions that honor Him and treat refugees with compassion and dignity.

Dear friend, we've been thinking about Elias and the changes happening in the UK regarding refugees. We want to assure you that we're standing with you in prayer, lifting up Elias' situation to our Heavenly Father.

In Jesus' name, we ask God to guide Elias to the right people who can help him with his English skills. We believe that with God's help, Elias can overcome this language barrier and integrate better into the community. We also pray for God's peace and comfort to surround Elias, knowing that He is always with him, even in the toughest times (Psalm 147:3).

We're also praying for the UK authorities, that they would have wisdom and compassion in their decisions, remembering that these are real people with real needs (Matthew 25:40). We ask God to soften their hearts and guide them to make decisions that align with His love and justice.

Let's continue to pray daily for Elias, trusting that God is at work in his situation. As you meet with him soon, may you be a source of encouragement and hope, pointing him to Jesus (Matthew 5:14-16).
