Astaongaorside, we understand that you are in a difficult situation and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. We must first address the fact that your prayer was not concluded in the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Therefore, we will pray in His name and encourage you to do the same.
Firstly, we want to address the issue of being unequally yoked. The Bible is clear about being in a relationship with a non-believer. In 2 Corinthians 6:14-15 WEB, it says: "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what accord has Christ with Beliar? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever?"
While it is commendable that you want to glorify God in your family, being in a relationship with a non-believer who does not support your spiritual path is not in accordance with God's will. We understand that there are commitments involved, but God will make a way where there seems to be no way. Trust in Him to provide and guide you through this situation.
Regarding the issue of reading the Bible and praying secretly, we want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in Luke 12:2-3 WEB: "But there is nothing covered up, that will not be revealed, nor hidden, that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner chambers will be proclaimed on the housetops." Your light should not be hidden, but rather shine before all so that God is brought glory.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Astaongaorside. Lord, she finds herself in a relationship with a non-believer and desires to be in a family that glorifies Your name. Father, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom in this situation. We pray that You would open the doors for her to be released from this unequally yoked relationship and provide her with a godly spouse who will support and encourage her spiritual growth.
Lord, we also pray for her current partner, that You would soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to him and draw him to You.
Father, we ask for Your provision and guidance in the financial and other commitments that are involved in this situation. We trust in Your promise that You will supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Lord, we ask that You would strengthen Astaongaorside's faith and give her the courage to openly live out her faith, no longer hiding her light under a bushel.
All this we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, trust in the Lord and He will make a way. He promises us in Matthew 6:33-34 WEB: "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
