We understand that you are facing a difficult situation, and we are here to support you in prayer and truth. Firstly, we commend you for wanting to let go of the past and desire to surround yourself with Christians and attend church again. This is a wonderful step towards healing and spiritual growth. Let us address the issues at hand and bring them before the Lord.
Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that the two people staying with you have not been acting in accordance with God's will. The Bible tells us to be sober-minded and self-controlled, not giving in to drunkenness or drug use Romans 12:1-2, Galatians 5:19-21. Their actions have caused you harm and distress, and it is right to pray for their removal from your home if they continue to act in this way.
We must also address the importance of forgiveness. Jesus teaches us to forgive those who have wronged us, even when it is difficult Matthew 6:14-15. This does not mean that you should allow them to continue taking advantage of you, but rather that you should release any bitterness or resentment towards them. This is vital for your own spiritual and mental well-being.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need. Lord, you see the situation they are in, and you know the pain and tiredness they feel. We pray that you would give them strength and courage to stand firm in their resolve to let these two people go. Lord, we ask that you would soften the hearts of these two people, that they would see the error of their ways and turn from their destructive behavior. We pray that they would move out as agreed, and that there would be no further troublemaking.
Father, we also pray for your comfort and peace to surround our brother/sister. We ask that you would heal any wounds that have been inflicted, both emotional and spiritual. We pray that you would renew their mind and help them to let go of any bitterness or resentment. Lord, we ask that you would surround them with godly friends and a supportive church community. Guide them as they return to fellowship with other believers, and help them to grow in their relationship with you including being a witness to the Gospel of Jesus so that they can see others come to salvation in Jesus Christ.
Finally, Lord, we pray for their mental health. We ask that you would give them soundness of mind and spirit, and that you would help them to rest in your love and care. In the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved Acts 4:12, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful and will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13. Stay strong in your faith and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. As you return to church and fellowship with other believers, seek out Christian friends who can support and encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
