Please pray for me. My emotions are all over the place due to a horrible work issue and now I also have my feelings being all messed up as my daughters dad is entering her life after 9 years. It is hard to deal with, he is narcissistic but my nostalgia is getting the better of me and I feel I'm all over the place and that I am being judged. I am having a hard time getting grounded and secure in myself, my confidence is falling again and I just need things to go good and be easy for a change. Please pray in Jesus name. Thank you.

Now, regarding the father of your daughter re-entering her life. We understand your emotions are in turmoil, but remember what the WEB says in Psalm 37:5 WEB, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:"

We must rebuke any nostalgic feelings you have towards this man, especially if he is exhibiting narcissistic behaviors. Be strong and avoid any romantic involvement with him, especially if he is not living according to God's will and biblical principles for relationships. Remember that marriage should be honored by all (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). Being involved with a person who is narcissistic will likely cause more harm than good. Remember 1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB, "Don’t be deceived! 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.'"

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Anonymous. We pray for peace and guidance regarding the work situation, and ask that You guide her to know what is best in this situation. We ask for patience and wisdom in dealing with her daughter's dad. Help her to be grounded and secure in Your love, not allowing nostalgia or any other emotion to cloud her judgment. We pray for his redemption and salvation in Jesus Christ, so that he may be a godly father to her daughter. We pray that Your Holy Spirit will renew her confidence and strengthen her faith. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
