We understand that you're going through a challenging time, Anonymous, and we're here to support you in prayer and to offer biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus Christ in your request as it is only through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6 WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let's address the issues you're facing. First, the work issue. We encourage you to trust in God's plan for your life, knowing that He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Now, regarding the father of your daughter re-entering her life. We understand your emotions are in turmoil, but remember what the WEB says in Psalm 37:5 WEB, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:"
We must rebuke any nostalgic feelings you have towards this man, especially if he is exhibiting narcissistic behaviors. Be strong and avoid any romantic involvement with him, especially if he is not living according to God's will and biblical principles for relationships. Remember that marriage should be honored by all (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). Being involved with a person who is narcissistic will likely cause more harm than good. Remember 1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB, "Don’t be deceived! 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.'"
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Anonymous. We pray for peace and guidance regarding the work situation, and ask that You guide her to know what is best in this situation. We ask for patience and wisdom in dealing with her daughter's dad. Help her to be grounded and secure in Your love, not allowing nostalgia or any other emotion to cloud her judgment. We pray for his redemption and salvation in Jesus Christ, so that he may be a godly father to her daughter. We pray that Your Holy Spirit will renew her confidence and strengthen her faith. We ask for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard her heart and mind in Jesus Christ. We pray that You protect her daughter and guide her in Jesus name. Amen."
Continue to cast your anxieties on God, knowing that He cares for you and only wants the best. Jesus Christ will make a way.
